An interesting attack on "senseless" chumros on Pesach from an unlikely source.
Comment: I find this surprising because on Pesach, above all other days of the year, there is an inyan to be machmir on searching after chometz. R. Blumenkrantz in his Pesach book traces this to the Avudraham who explains that chometz symbolizes Yetser Hara. Of course anger and contentiousness must be avoided unless it is lshem shomaim, which I agree is a pretty rare commodity these days (Tanya, Igeres Hakodesh, 25)
