I don't think that misnagdim would accept this idea in reference to themselves. They never warmed up to the Beshtian innovation of using Lurianic categories to explain human psychology and would find, I believe, an attempt to explain their own differences by recourse to Kabbola, incomprehensible or offensive. Nevertheless, I find it valuable.
