You are over dramatizing the situation (though your version sounds great!). I joined the pro Slifkin bandwaggon, sure, but so did a lot of other bloggers. I galvanized nothing, nor did I have any inside knowledge that wasn't available to a lot of other people. And I certainly wasn't a proxy, not then or now. I say what I want to say, not what other people want me to say.

Thank you for commenting and for the denials. It is hard to be sure of truths or even identiies in the blogosphere. Some day someone like you should write the full history of this controversy and its effects on Orthodoxy and it, I am sure, will be fascinating indeed.

"2. Find a proxy backer.

'Not the Gadol Hador' came the rescue. He galvanized support by using considerable writing talent, wit, talent for parody and inside knowledge of the controversy. As a proxy he was able to say things that R. Slifkin himself could not say. The relationship between R. Slifkin and this blogger has not been publicly revealed (to my knowledge) but, for those who know, it is close."

Not the GH opened his blog without R Slifkin's knowledge and probably against R Slifkin's will.

You should retract this.
