There was a CD I remember hearing about a while ago that in concept reminded me of this (though I can't listen now);

There has been some scholarship on Jews and Sufism over the years, I remember perusing a text authored by Rambam's grandson that survived among Sufis, but not among Jews (trans. and published in the early 80s I think). There were also some pieces regarding figures from Persia.
