On the serious side, read David Klinghoffer's "Why the Jews Rejected Jesus" for a very plausible theory of what would have happened if in fact the Jews DID accept him: Christianity, rather than becoming a major world religion, would have become just another transient Jewish heretical sect that would have disappeared in short order.
